Philadelphia Metropolitan Board of Realtist

We are an affiliate local chapter of the
National Association of Real Estate Brokers

 

 

The Purpose of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) is:

  • To unite those engaged in the recognized branches of the real estate business, including Brokerage, management, Mortgage Financing, Appraising, Land Development, Home Building, and allied fields in the United States of America and Canada, for the purpose of effectively exerting a combined positive influence upon matters affecting real estate interest. 

  • To enable its members to transact their business to better advantage than heretofore by the adoption of such rules and regulations as they may deem proper.

  • To promote and maintain high standards of conduct in the transaction of real estate business

  • To formulate and enforce a code of ethics for the members of NAREB

  • To grants its members the right to use the term “Realtists,” which is hereby defined as a Board or Individual Member of NAREB rules and regulations, observes its standards of conduct, and is entitle to its benefits.

  • To protect the public against unethical, improper, or fraudulent practices by affixing the term “Realtist” to advertising matter, stationery, billboards, stock certificates, bonds, mortgages, and other instruments or materials used by or in connection with real estate.

  • To educate the general public about the benefits of working with those persons who have agreed to observe the standards NAREB maintains. 

    Members of the NAREB organization are referred to as “Realtists.”  Although composed principally of African Americans and other minority real estate professionals, the Realtist organization is an integrated entity open to all qualified practioners who are committed to achieving the ideals of the Realtist theme “Democracy in Housing”
